On your big day you want everything to be perfect. At Platter & Slate, we understand that the food plays an enormous part in making your wedding day special, and that you will want to know you have entrusted the wedding catering into good hands.
Platter and Slate is not a bulk caterer churning out standard offerings and relying on junior staff to oversee events. Our head chef Deanna Smith manages all our weddings personally. She will design a bespoke menu for your wedding, which is ideally suited to your vision for the day. You will receive personalised service from her, starting with menu discussions, through to a tasting of the proposed wedding menu. On the day she will be on hand to deal with any concerns and to ensure that the food and service are impeccable.
For traditional receptions, or something a bit different
We can deliver whatever type of wedding food you would like on your special day, whether it is drinks and canapés, buffets, sharing platters or picnics, or afternoon tea.
Wine and food pairings
We can also recommend the perfect wine to accompany your wedding food, perfectly tailored to complement your menu choices, and the best fizz for the toasts, at a price to suit your budget.
Seasonal ingredients for the freshest taste
As with all our food, wherever possible we use seasonal ingredients for our wedding catering menus. All our meat is free range and we use sustainable fish, which we source directly from Billingsgate market (where we have our kitchen) so it is as fresh as possible.

Our head chef Deanna Smith works with a team of expert chefs who have worked at some top restaurants including River Café and Le Manoir aux Quatre Saisons, so you can be assured that the cooking will be of the highest standard.
