Food to share at relaxed events

One of our favourite catering options for a relaxed lunch or dinner is to have sharing platters, which are served at each table for the guests seated there to share between themselves. This creates a relaxed and informal atmosphere and encourages guests to chat and mix together.

Sharing boards, catered to your tastes

We have a particular speciality in creating delicious artisan meat, fish or vegetarian sharing platters, such as: 

  • charcuterie boards featuring a selection of artisan meats and salamis, house-made rillettes, ham hock terrines, with our speciality pickles, caper berries and cornichons 
  • fish sharing platters including Loch Duart salmon, house-made mackerel paté, potted shrimp, crevettes, home-cured anchovies, and all the trimmings
  • cheese boards with a selection of artisan cheeses, which can be from a particular region, whether British, French or Italian, etc, served with membrillo (quince paste) fruits, pickles and breads.

These types of sharing platters work well as a starter, but can also be enough for a light meal on their own.

Other sharing dishes

We can also cater for sharing platter main courses, such as a shoulder of lamb or roast chicken to be carved at each table, or a tagine or curry centrepiece with accompanying rice or couscous.

For dessert, we can do table-sized pavlovas or tarte tatins which work well as sweet sharing platters.
